Privacy & cookies
No cookies. Nothing you type is stored.
Your X handle, your answers and your safety tip stay in your browser, and they’re gone when you reload or close the page. We count visits with Plausible, a privacy-friendly statistics tool that doesn’t identify you.

Who we are
This quiz and its share-card contest are run by Outlogic SAGL, Lugano, Switzerland (“Outlogic”, “we”). Outlogic is responsible for the processing described on this page under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Chimera Wallet itself is published by the Chimera Software Association, Lugano.
Questions about privacy: support@outlogic.net.
What the quiz does with your information
Everything happens on your device:
- Your X handle is only used to put your name on your result card. No X sign-in is involved.
- Your answers and score are worked out in your browser.
- Your safety tip is only used to fill in your X draft when you choose “Prepare my contest post on X”.
- Your result card is drawn on your device. Downloading it saves it to your device.
None of this is sent to us or saved anywhere. It lives in the open page only, so we never see it.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site sets no cookies. It saves nothing in your browser’s local storage or session storage, and it has no tracking pixels or advertising tools. Fonts and images are served from the site itself. The only outside service the page loads is Plausible, described below.
That’s why there’s no cookie banner: there’s nothing to accept or decline.
Visit statistics
To see how the quiz is used, we use Plausible Analytics, from Plausible Insights OÜ in Estonia.
- What it records: the page address, the site you came from, your browser, operating system and device type, your approximate location (country, region and city), how far you scroll and how long you stay.
- What it counts: clicks on links to other sites, with the link’s address, and the fact that a form was submitted. It never reads what you type into a form, so your X handle and safety tip are not included.
- How visitors are counted: Plausible combines your IP address and browser details with a key that’s deleted every 24 hours to make a one-day code, so a visit isn’t counted twice. It doesn’t store your IP address or full browser details, and it can’t recognise you on another day or on another website.
We only see the combined statistics, not individual visitors. We don’t use them for advertising or profiling, and we don’t combine them with other data. See Plausible’s data policy.
Hosting and server logs
Like any website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider: Railway Corporation, based in the United States. When your browser loads the page, its servers automatically record standard technical data: your IP address, browser type, the time and the address requested.
These logs are used only to deliver the site and keep it secure and working. They are kept for a short period set by the provider. We don’t use them to identify you, and we don’t combine them with other data.
X, Telegram and other links
Buttons such as “Follow Chimera on X”, “Join Telegram” and the X share buttons open X or Telegram in a new tab. Nothing is sent to them unless you click.
When you click a share button, the post text (your score, and your tip if you wrote one) is passed to X in the link so your draft is filled in for you. Nothing is posted unless you post it yourself. Once you’re on X, Telegram or chimerawallet.com, their own privacy policies apply.
The share-card contest
Entering is optional. Entries are public posts on X that tag @chimera_wallet and include #ChimeraSafetyCheck.
- Judging: we search X for the hashtag to find entries. We only read public posts. We don’t sign in as you or build profiles. We keep only the links to entries that we need for judging.
- Winners: we contact the five winners through X and ask for a Bitcoin or Lightning address. We use it only to pay the prize. Only winners are asked for payout details.
- Public payments: if we pay to a Bitcoin address, the transaction is recorded permanently on the public Bitcoin blockchain. Nobody can delete it, including us.
How long we keep data
- What you type in the quiz: not kept. It never leaves your browser.
- Server logs: a short period set by the hosting provider.
- Visit statistics: kept in our Plausible account for as long as we use it, without IP addresses.
- Contest entry links: until prizes are paid, then deleted.
- Winner payment records: as long as Swiss accounting law requires (usually ten years).
Transfers outside Switzerland
Our hosting provider is based in the United States and may process server logs there. Plausible processes and stores visit statistics in the EU. Where personal data goes to a country without adequate data protection, we rely on safeguards recognised under Swiss law, such as the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the FADP you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, and receive a copy of data you gave us. Because the quiz stores nothing you enter and visit statistics can’t be linked to you, in practice this only concerns contest entries and winners’ payout details.
To make a request, email support@outlogic.net. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at edoeb.admin.ch.
If you’re in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have similar rights under the GDPR and can complain to your local data protection authority. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests for server logs (running a secure website) and visit statistics (understanding how the site is used), and on running the contest you chose to enter for contest data.
Changes to this page
If anything changes, for example if we ever add cookies, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
